Platformer Game Demo
A 2D Platformer Game Demo made with the Unity engine and free assets found online with public domain and creative commons licenses. This project is a follow-up to me taking a Udemy course, called "Complete C# Unity Game Developer 2D", that I took for one of my University classes. Since that Udemy course provided the fundamentals I needed to work to make a 2D Unity game, I decided to use that knowledge, as well as additional research, to make a complete platformer game demo.
The idea behind this demo was to create a platformer with movement mechanics similar to the Megaman X series. In order to make it feel complete, I wanted to have platforming, levels, enemies, traps, health, lives, and a collectible used to gain lives. I also wanted to add visuals, animations, and sounds for presentation and conveying information to the player about the gameplay, thus making the demo feel much more complete (and a lot more challenging).
